Grupo Calvo has taken part in the commemoration of World Tuna Day. Promoted by the United Nations (UN), this initiative seeks to underscore the significance of tuna conservation and raise awareness about the importance of protecting marine resources, sustainable fishing practices and environmental stewardship.
Grupo Calvo has attained a position among the top five Spanish companies with the best reputation in the country according to the “Reptrak Spain 2018” study conducted by the Reputation Institute advisory firm. Calvo also stands out as the first Galician company to be included in the ranking and the only enterprise from the canning sector.
Grupo Calvo has signed an agreement with Glasswing International, a non-profit organisation, with the aim of incorporating new areas of endeavour into the Luis Calvo Sanz Football School currently operating in El Salvador. The project is soon to become the Luis Calvo Sanz Sports School.
Based on the Business Social Compliance Initiative Code, the document sets forth the standards of ethical and responsible conduct for upholding human and labour rights throughout the company’s supply chain.
